Celebrating Poly High School.
In 2014, Joy Young, Poly retired RISE Data Analyst was asked "when was the last Poly HomeComing Parade"? Young replied, "I recall 1992...principal appeared in a horse drawn carriage". Your Poly Alumni Association seized this opportunity to resurrect a beloved tradition! On Wednesday, Oct 8, 2014, your PAA partnered with Poly HS to kick off HomeComing week with a 28-entry parade.
THIS TRADITION IS ALIVE AND KICKIN'. Poly's annual October parade is now FWISD'S largest with 125+ entries boasting 600+ spectators lining Rosedale. TRULY A COMMUNITY EVENT!
This year we expect over 125 parade entrants: Poly Alumni, Dignitaries, Cheerleaders, Mariachi, Horses, Floats, Antique Cars, Shriners, Funny Cars, Motorcycles, and more!! Line up along the parade route for the best views.
Parade Route: Starts on Conner Ave., heading east onto Rosedale, through the round-about at Ayers, and then west on Rosedale, ending back at Poly High School.
Meet us at the high school to decorate 12 trees for Christmas. To volunteer, call Dana Gresham at 817.451.1040.
After the trees are decorated, we will go to
Joe's Hangout
3020 E. Rosedale
Fort Worth, TX
for a "dutch-treat" lunch.
